Other musicians, tba
Hiro was born in Osaka, JAPAN in 1961 and was raised in both Osaka and Kobe. He started to play the guitar at the age of 12, being initially influenced by the Beatles. When Hiro was 17 years old, he began listening to Wes Montgomery, and started playing Jazz.

After graduating from High School, Hiro moved to Tokyo to get his formal education in music. His first instructor was Yoshiaki Miyanoue, also a guitarist who happened to be Wes Montgomery. Hiro went on begin playing professionally at the age of 19, as he first started performing in Jazz clubs as an accompanist. Later the eventually became the leader of his own band, taking the opportunity to play his own original compositions. Hiro also taught guitar and music theory at various music schools in Japan, and at a California music academy in the United States.

Regarding the development of Hiro's musical concepts and compositions, another period of change occurred as the Pat Metheny Group also began to have an influence on the contemporary jazz scene. However, Hirofs own lyric writing and melodic sense being highly imaginative, his compositions were not confined to just writing for the guitar. Record companies began expressing interest in signing him, but at that particular time Hiro refused several tempting offers in order to further work on and develop his own style of music.

In 1988, Hiro left Japan and moved to Auckland, New Zealand where he lived for more than 5 years, and from there to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to stay a short time. In an effort to further advance his musical horizons, Hiro eventually relocated to the U.S., first taking residence in Los Angeles, California, and finally to New York in the summer of 2002. Hiro again began to play and teach while continuing to develop his own style based on musical theories and concepts that combined smoother melodies with unique chord progressions. One of these original musical concepts is called the Tonal Center System (TCS). .

In making his way around the music industry, Hiro met Marcus Miller and Marcus encouraged him to record a demo CD. Hiro took Marcus Millerfs advice and recorded his demo CD in an effort to get a record distribution deal. Hiro then met Wayne Henderson (Jazz Crusaders /Producer) who understood the musical journey that Hiro was undertaking
and Wayne decided to get involved and helped Hiro to achieve the first step in accomplishing his unending challenge to obtain his unique inventive style.

Now residing in New York, Hiro is collaborating with like musicians, venue proprietors, educators and others, along with his producer, to continue advancing his craft to the next level of musical horizons.
