  • Wyatt Waddell

Wyatt Waddell is a 29-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Chicago, known for his intricate melodies, electrifying stage presence, and dynamic vocal range, stretching from the raw soul of Mavis Staples to the melodic precision of Paul McCartney. Raised just steps from the famed O-Block, Waddell grew up surrounded by a rich sonic landscape, shaped by the storytelling of The Beatles, the showmanship of Michael Jackson, and the songwriting depth of Billy Joel.

Blending elements of classic rock, soft rock, smooth jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and psychedelic pop, Waddell crafts a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking. His lush arrangements, playful musicality, and emotionally resonant lyrics set him apart as an artist unafraid to experiment while staying rooted in tradition.

He first gained national attention with his powerful protest anthem “FIGHT!” during the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, marking him as not only a compelling performer but also a voice for social awareness and change. Since then, his growing audience has been fueled by viral acapella performances and visually engaging releases that highlight both his versatility and charisma.

Following a standout Chicago residency at Dorian’s and a Paak House pop-out, Waddell’s momentum continues to build—with co-signs from artists like Tyler, the Creator, Vic Mensa, Pharrell Williams, and Joe Jonas. Now, with his latest album release, he steps fully into his own - bridging genres, eras, and generations with fearless originality.

Catch Wyatt Waddell on select dates of Jill Scott’s To Whom It May Concern world tour.
