    As part of ANA’s commitment to celebrating the culture and music of Japan and Hawaiʻi, the 2023 ANA ʻAha Mele will feature Cliburn Gold Award-winning pianist NOBUYUKI TSUJII in an intimate solo concert with brunch at the Blue Note Hawaii located in the Outrigger Waikiki at 2335 Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki.

    Doors will open at 10:00am, and seating is first-come, first-served in each price section. Arrive early for best seats.

    MENU (seated service):
    -Stuffed Hawaiian sweet bread french toast, haupia cream, sliced banana, caramel drizzle, housemade whipped cream, spiced macadamia nuts.
    -Quiche Lorraine with a small side salad, sherry vinaigrette
    -Salmon lox on a toasted "everything" bagel, cream cheese spinach, red onion, heirloom cherry tomatoes, capers
    -Choice of coffee, hot tea, iced tea
    -Your brunch with Tsujii begins at 10:30am with seated service followed by performance.

      Blind since birth, Tsujii is one of classical music’s most enthralling virtuosos, interpreting classic and modern compositions with a genius that is truly emotive and heartfelt. Since winning the joint Gold Medal at the 2009 Cliburn International Piano Competition – the first-ever win for a Japanese pianist - Tsujii’s career has spanned the globe, featuring appearances with Russia’s Mariinsky Orchestra, U.K.’s Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony, Munich’s Münchner Philharmoniker, Milan’s Filarmonica della Scala and Switzerland’s Sinfonieorchester Basel. He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Spivakov, Juanjo Mena and Vasily Petrenko.
