  • Dark Side Of The Beach

Dark Side of the Beach is Hawaii's Ultimate Pink Floyd Experience. The band brings together some of the state's most talented and experienced musicians to recreate the iconic hits of Pink Floyd. Members of the band have decades of combined performance and recording credits with some of Hawaii's top artists.

Lead guitarist Rob Bruggemann has been performing David Gilmour solos for years, and formerly played with the Pink Floyd tribute "Echoes of Floyd". Bassist / lead vocalist Brant Swigart is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter who performs regularly as a solo artist and formerly played with Rubber Soul, Hawaii's all-Beatles tribute. Keyboardist Alan Okuye is a nationally recognized artist who's worked with international acts including Riki Lee Jones and Colin Hay of Men at Work, as well as teaching piano and performing with popular Hawaii entertainers like Ginai and Stephen Inglis. Rhythm guitarist / vocalist Michael Shapiro is also a former member of Inglis' band and played with Grateful Dead tribute Hardly Strictly Jerry. Abbie Willow formerly fronted alt-rock bands Planet Jane and Aftershock, and provides scorching backup vocals. Saxophonist / vocalist Ted Gauthier delivers some of the most recognizable horn parts ever recorded. Drummer and former KPOI 98 Rock on-air personality "Loud" Larry Lieberman formerly filled the "Ringo" role in Rubber Soul and has played with many other Hawaii artists including HAPA, Henry Kapono, Peter Bond of Hat Makes the Man and Oriental Love Ring. Dark Side of the Beach also showcases the visual talents of Kevin Hughes, who creates the band's visual imagery and runs the video wall and sound eWects in real time during performances.

Together, Dark Side of the Beach combines talent, passion, and love for the music of Pink Floyd to put on a show like no other live music experience in Hawaii.
