  • Alain Pérez

Alain Pérez refers to himself as "the true guajiro." Coming from humble beginnings in material terms, he is, however, full of love and curiosity for life. Thanks to this, their music transmits truth, pure rhythm and traditional flavor. His nature, therefore, is not adorned by artifice.

He learned early to take the stafe with poise and presence. He has always felt the need to communicate through sound, silence, the creation of art and that abstract energy transmitted through music. "The one from Trinidad" has turned all its live performances into a unique and complete experience: a whirlwind of emotions, subtleties and sensations that create a distintive seal of honesty, tradition, and contemporaneity on stage.

He travels the world with his talent and shares the stage with the greatest, acting as arranger and musical director for some of them: he was the bassist for maestro Paco de Lucia, a multi-instrumentalist with Irakere directed by Chucho Valdes, musical director of the orchestra by Issac Delgado and music producer of Celia Cruz and Estrella Morente, among many others.

Currently, he is also the music producer of the Barcelons singer Miguel Poveda. There have been many hours of recording, production, and sharing the stage. Both are openign a new path in the production of their latest work, " Diverso." Bringing Cuban music to the world through their eyes is, without a doubt, one of the objectives of the teacher. Alain Pérez is the one from "Shorcito", the one from "Talking with Juana", that of "That's what we're for."

The Cuban artist is a subtle and creative marriage between the origins and roots of its land with a textured, priveleged and modern vision.
