Blue Note Hawaii
The World of Ukulele: Andrew & Jay Molina

The World of Ukulele
Andrew & Jay Molina

Experience Maui’s ukulele virtuoso, Andrew Molina and his dad Jay, as they showcase the versatility and beauty of the four-string instrument. A three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano award nominee, Andrew is celebrated for his innovative approach, blending traditional Hawaiian sounds with rock classics like Aerosmith’s “Dream On” and Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” His performances and song-writing continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the ukulele, inspiring audiences worldwide.

Andrew and Jay have toured the East and West coasts of the US multiple times, and performed at the Maui Ukulele Festival, the Tacoma Ukulele Festival in Washington, the Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival, the Tahiti International Ukulele Festival, the Austrian Ukulele Festival, Music China Expo Show in Shanghai China and the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival in Northern England.

“Andrew Molina is one of my favorite musicians.  He works incredibly hard on his craft and approaches the ukulele in such a unique way.” —Jake Shimabukuro
