Jiaoying Summers is a comedy powerhouse on a rapid rise blending fearless, dark humor with a deeply personal and refreshingly global perspective. Born in China and now based in Los Angeles, she turns cultural clashes, immigrant identity, and motherhood into razor-sharp comedy that resonates across continents.
BLUE NOTE NAPA is on the 1st floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House and is an intimate 180-seated live music club and restaurant. World-class and local Bay Area artists perform here. Hailing from China, she began her comedy career when mentor John Singleton suggested she should do an open mic, quickly making a name for herself on the local Los Angeles comedy scene. With a blend of unique observational humor from an immigrant’s perspective and personal anecdotes, Jiaoying Summers connects with audiences from all walks of life. Her fearlessness and dark humor are heavily inspired by her comedy icon Joan Rivers.
