Kellie Fuller & The Mike Greensill Orchestra invite you to take their time machine for “A Night at the Dream Bowl: 1940s”. The Dream Bowl opened on the Napa/Vallejo Highway in 1941 and hosted the biggest bands of the era including Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and more.
Local radio personality Barry Martin starts things off with a short interview of Michael Amen, author of “The Dream Bowl: Where Goodman, Ellington and the Grateful Dead Convene” to learn about the history of this iconic dance club that started romances, inspired servicemen and women and brought people together in a fit of swing dancing. Then enjoy 90 minutes of swing music and classics from the 1940s sung by Kellie and backed by Mike's dynamic orchestra of piano, bass, drums, trombone, trumpet and saxophones.
BLUE NOTE NAPA is on the 1st floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House and is an intimate 180-seated live music club and restaurant. World-class and local Bay Area artists perform here. Before and during the show, we offer a sophisticated dinner menu and a wide selection of wines and cocktails to order.HOUSE POLICIES:
