Doors open at 17:00, two hours before the event starts

Blue Note London is suitable for all ages. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult , must order a table ticket and leave by midnight. No under 18's are allowed at the bar area. A max of 6 tickets per person and per household applies for the presale, rising to a max of 8 tickets per person and per household for the general sale. Tickets in excess of this will be cancelled. All seating is first come first served. Bar Area seating is limited. Once capacity is reached, the remaining Bar Area becomes standing room only.

    What began as a weekly Deptford session in 2017 became a meeting point for a generation of London musicians, with Steam Down growing into a band, collective and community force of its own.

    Founded by composer and producer Ahnansé, the project has won two Jazz FM Awards and taken its open-ended, collaborative approach from London to stages around the world.

    At Blue Note, the music is made in the room, with improvisation and audience energy shaping the performance in real time.

  • National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO)

    For 60 years, NYJO has been where the next generation of British jazz gets its start.

    Founded by Bill Ashton in 1965, the organisation has shaped the careers of more than 1,500 musicians, while its current Emerging Professionals programme puts young players at the centre of ambitious, forward-looking work.

    For this show, a new generation carries that legacy forward, bringing together the precision, scale and restless creativity of a modern big band.
