  • Marcus Machado

Named a “Best Next Young Gun” by Rolling Stone and praised by Guitar World for redefining the boundaries of rock, funk, and soul guitar, New York born-and-raised Machado is a genre-defying guitarist, composer, and accomplished music director. His collaborations span an eclectic roster of artists, including Pharoahe Monch, Daniel Caesar, Pete Rock, Jon Batiste, and José James. As a music director, he curates dynamic musical experiences nationwide, including at Lincoln Center, blending visionary artistry with boundary-pushing sound.

A guitarist since the age of two, Machado channels a lifetime of exploration into music that defies convention. His latest album, Blue Diamonds, fuses R&B, funk, jazz, hip-hop, heavy rock, and psychedelia into a bold, electrifying sound. His debut solo album, Aquarius Purple, reveals the emotional depth and expressive range behind his artistry, cementing his reputation as an innovative force in contemporary music.

Here performing a set dedicated to the legacy and icon that is Jimi Hendrix, expect Hendrix classics alongside a few Machado original compositions in what is set to be an incredible evening of live electric blues.
