Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra

From Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 to four decades at the forefront of Afrobeat, Dele Sosimi is a true master of the form.

Having cut his teeth alongside Fela before helping launch Femi Kuti’s Positive Force, the Nigerian-British bandleader has spent a lifetime pushing Afrobeat into new territory.

Now leading his full-sized orchestra, Sosimi brings together thunderous percussion, hypnotic funk grooves, soaring horns and his own virtuoso keyboard playing.

A direct line to Afrobeat’s golden era, delivered with the fire and energy of a band still moving the music forward.
