Somewhere Soul presents – LEVITATION ORCHESTRA

What began as Josh Mason-Quinn sharing the records he loved has grown into a music platform followed by over a million people.

For this edition of Somewhere Soul & Friends, the focus is Levitation Orchestra: a 8-piece London collective making music together, rather than gathering around a single bandleader’s vision.

The group draws on cinematic jazz, classical music and the sounds of London’s clubs.

Their latest album, Sanctuary, gives those ideas sweeping shape, but it is live that the scale of the ensemble comes into its own.

Harp, strings, horns and rhythm section move as one, then open up to let the players take the music somewhere unexpected
