Jools Holland “Piano, Vocals and Drum Frenzy"

The Blue Note NY is proud to present world-renowned rhythm and blues pianist, orchestra leader and BBC Television host Jools Holland, in Jools Holland “Piano, Vocals and Drum Frenzy at the Blue Note”.

The iconic performer will appear with drummer extraordinaire and co-founding member of the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Gilson Lavis and vocalists Ruby Turner, Mabel Ray and Louise Marshall. This show will mark Holland’s first time back performing in the U.S. in over 20 years, making it a "must see" event.

The 19-piece Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra plays to audiences in excess of 300,000 each year, touring continuously in the UK with regular shows in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as shows in other parts of the globe like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.

Jools will now present this more intimate performance at the legendary Blue Note in New York City, shining the spotlight on the heart and soul of his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra in its original form…..piano, drums and vocals.

Of course, Holland continues to host his immensely popular Later…With Jools Holland on BBC Two Television, which debuted in 1992 and is still going strong more than two decades later, with millions of loyal fans around the world.

As many know, Jools Hooland was also a founding member of the hugely popular British band Squeeze, along with Chris Difford, Glenn Tilbrook and Gilson Lavis, with early hits such as Cool For Cats, Up The Junction, Pulling Mussels from The Shell and Take Me I’m Yours.

“I didn’t think anybody could play like that. Jools has that left hand that never stops" - B.B. King
