Jerry Lee Lewis - Birthday Bash @ B.B. King's

It has been over half a century since true American original Jerry Lee Lewis first rocketed to the top of America's pop, country, and R&B charts with "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" and "Great Balls of Fire." While those iconic performances still define the essence of rock 'n' roll for millions, "The Killer" himself continues to thrill audiences around the world with his unique, scorching blend of rock, blues, country, and gospel.

With a lifetime of triumph and tragedy to draw from, Lewis sings and plays with the seasoned wisdom of a man who's seen it all and the savvy confidence of a performer who knows that music - and the emotional truths it carries - is the thing that matters most. In addition to his many rock hits, he has also paid homage to his deep country roots throughout his career. A Grammy Lifetime Achievement winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Lewis has enjoyed over 30 Top 10 country hits, including "Another Time, Another Place," "To Make Love Sweeter for You," "There Must Be More to Love Than This," "Think About It Darlin'," "Once More with Feeling," and "Me and Bobby McGee," among others.

Lewis continues his legacy with his latest release Mean Old Man (2010). The disc, the much-anticipated follow-up to his 2006 album Last Man Standing, finds the legendary musician combining his country roots with the compelling force of his signature rock, blues, and gospel style in a dream set list of classic songs, many of which might not exist had Lewis not kicked open the floodgates back in the '50s. Simply put, the disc is an important and monumental music from the man Rolling Stone listed among the Greatest Artists of All Time - Jerry Lee Lewis, perhaps the last American original.
